The SDK is proprietary software, made available in source form and licensed for use as a client of the AgentWay service. It is not open source.
Permitted
You may install, use, and redistribute the SDK unmodified as a dependency of your own applications, for the purpose of connecting those applications to the AgentWay service. This includes use in commercial and closed-source applications, and imposes no licensing obligation on your own code.
You may read, inspect, and audit the source. It is distributed with the package.
Not permitted
Except where such restriction is unenforceable under applicable law, you may not:
- modify, adapt, or create derivative works of the SDK;
- redistribute it other than unmodified, as a dependency, as described above;
- sell, license, or otherwise offer the SDK, or any part of it, as a product or service in its own right;
- use it to build, operate, or assist a service that competes with AgentWay;
- remove or alter any copyright or proprietary notice.
Scope
These terms cover the agentway Python package. Use of
the AgentWay service itself is governed by the
Terms of Service; data handling is
governed by the Privacy Policy and
the Data Processing Addendum.
No warranty
The SDK is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. In no event shall the copyright holder be liable for any claim, damages, or other liability, whether in an action of contract, tort, or otherwise, arising from, out of, or in connection with the SDK or the use or other dealings in the SDK.
Authoritative text
The governing text is the LICENSE file distributed with
the package, installed alongside the code and shown on the
PyPI project page.
